A well deserved holiday! Are you going away somewhere, or just stay home?
I still haven't figured out when and where I'm going to have a holiday.. I just know I'm going to have one!

I'm going to join my mom and my kids at moms cottage which is 2 km from the sea. I dreamed about batheing etc but now it seems that the water is too cold, only 8-9+C. The wind has blown all the warm water towards Sweden. I hope they enjoy it

There's no bathing temperatures to speak of here on the West coast either....
Speaking of Swedes, I wonder how Titania is faring at the Falun Folkmusic Festival. I just had a look at the program. Looks fun!

But we HAD the bathing temperatures only last week - over 20+C everywhere. 
Maybe the wind will change...
I can't even look at all these festival programs, we have some great festivals this weekend and I won't go anywhere 
.
Anyway, the day is nice and I feel already the freedom.

The cake is a sight! and raspberries and black and red currents, several kinds of fruit, all glazer with a thin layer of raspberry jelly! And vanilla cream inside, and a nutty crust at the bottom.
I took the rest with me to share with the regulars here.
Enjoy! I'm so full, I'll just have an espresso.

I have always envied people who are born in summer - picnics, fresh fruits, wild flowers etc. I can offer only sledging to my guests.

It's not so bad now that I'm a grownup! When I was a kid it was'n that much fun to have b-day in the middle of the summer, when everyone was away on holiday... My birthday parties was always dominated by Grannies and old boring aunts..
Now I am an old boring aunt and can do as I please..

*reading backlog* At times I wish I could just have my wonderful five year old mentality again... Everything was alright, there were no worries whatsoever, and I was able to entertain myself for hours with a cherished stuffed animal or toy. My imagination could do it all... 
I was so young and naive... I thought those days would last forever...
