*walks in, humming merrily*
IIEM, I'll have an Earl Grey tea.
*takes the newly dispensed and falls back into his favorite, large, comfy chair*
So...
How's it going?

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Jul 8, 2001
*floating in, exhausted because of heat, +32 C at 8 pm*
IIEM, a big lemon ice please, and... *looks around* a dozen triple espressos, please!
*stands very close to the fan*

[Mog] Er, no, a triple espresso with an extra shot of espresso and a shot of espresso on the side (with an extra shot of espresso). And make it strong this time.
The Aromatic Café Sunday Thunder
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Jul 8, 2001
Well, I thought you could use the other triple espressos as extra shots and shots on the side...

*accepts the free triple espresso*
I saw AI yesterday at the theatre. It's a relatively new movie directed by Steven Speilburg, but it is important to note that it was Stanley Kubrick's idea and script, and that the only reason Speilburg had anything to do with it was because Kubrick died.
It dragged a bit in some parts, but I'm a sappy idiot and thought it was very good.
Have you guys seen any good movies of late?

Nope - and I'm having doubts about 'Pearl Harbour' - I watched a film about making the film, sort of, and the effects were impressive, but the main impression was the usual 'United States of America, Land of Glory, Land of Heroes' despite the fact that the USA won against Japan because they dropped THE bombs over Nagasaki and Hiroshima - I wonder how many civilians were killed or injured on either side?

Yes. The atom bomb is proof of the depravity of humankind.
But on the lighter side of things, I saw Pearl Harbor. I believe it was three hours long. 45 minutes was a very long, horribly detailed scene of the bombing. The other 2:15 was pure s**t; nothing more than a very, very, very bad plot about a love triangle between a nurse and two farmer boys.
And then on the darker side of things again, 135,000 Japanese civilians died at Hiroshima...

[Mog] ... and the "Japps" were still "The Enemy" for YEARS afterword! I mean, come on!

Darkman Shadow Posted Jul 8, 2001
Would this have to do with the fact that you're a Moogle, which has its origins in Japan?
The Aromatic Café Sunday Thunder
153745 Posted Jul 8, 2001
I didn't know Moogles had Japanese origins! That's so cool!
*smiles with the pleasure of knowing he's learned something he'll never forget. Ever. finishes off his triple espresso, and orders another *

[Mog] Er, Moogles are from Final Fantasy; Final Fantasy is from Japan. The commutative property holds. -- Or /is/ that the commutative property?
The Aromatic Café Sunday Thunder
153745 Posted Jul 8, 2001
I've actually never played Final Fantasy, so I would have never known...
But the good thing about this conversation is that now I know what the hell a Moogle is, because I really had no clue, besides the fact that you et alia were Moogles...
Er,
Cheers!
*drinks his to the health of Yardovich Kramer et alia, Darkman Shadow, and anyone else in the cafe*

And seeing as how I'm sitting by himself and toasting no one at all, I think I'll be heading home now.
Goodnight, IIEM, and whomever is passed out behind a counter or chair!
*gathers his belongings (satchel and towel), and heads out the door*
The Aromatic Café - I don't like Mondays
Hati Posted Jul 9, 2001
Good morning anybody behind the sofas and piles of work. Here's mine.
*builds something like a small hill*
Oh, IIEM, I'll take an espresso, triple, please.
*dives into work*
The Aromatic Café - What's wrong with them then?
Bumblebee Posted Jul 9, 2001
Morning!
The usual please. Hold the band.
What a wonderful morning! It's hot, it's raining, it's like a sauna out there! You have to keep moving or there'll grow green stuff on you!

Hi, Bumblebee!
It's hot, sure. But it's not raining here . Everuthing is just fading. We have had thunder these days but no rain. You can't move yourself as every movement makes you sweat like hell. The weekend here has been full of fire and traffic accidents. Too hot...
