Up above you can clearly see my attempt at using Guide ML. It didn't work. Please don't tell me how it could have worked, I'm not really bothered.

Well that was a week and a half (approx) ago. Now I've learnt how to use ML and it kicks!

Hey. I'm on the Mailing List as leah. Good article. I hope it gets approved. I wish I knew Guide ML...where did you find it?
I borrowed "The Very Best of Cream" and can't stop listening to "White Room". I've found it's very good sketching or carving music. Wow, they had a lot of CDs.

You like White Room? Have you heard Eric Clapton's Philharmonic Night? That has the most stunning version of White Room ever. I put my headphones on, turn it up full volume, and it reminds me why I'd want my band to play live smiley - smiley.

You can get GuideML from the GuideML Clinic. I don't have a link handy, but you can get there from the front page (it'll be round about the bottom).
When you change the type from plain text to GuideML you have a few handy references to the more common GuideML functions.

I never thought of approving this article. I suppose I ought to smiley - bigeyes

You should get it approved.
I did find GuideML. I had been using the search button on it, the article(s) aren't among the ones searched, so that was pointelss. Now my hompage still has no content, but it looks better.
The only Eric Clapton CD I've listened too is also borrowed, "The Best of Eric Clapton". I suppose I really should just go into the basement and search out others, on vinyl. The sound quality's horrible, though.

You see the list of Clapton (and related) albums I've got on my homepage? I was really into him before I started listening to metal. But I still like his stuff, helps me to wind down smiley - winkeye

I never use the search engine. You could type in anything and get anything. Like, I did a search for Eric Clapton and got the article about how Hollywood actuion movies are made. It appered on the search because it mentioned EC at the end.

I think I'll check this article over and submit it, thank you very much smiley - smiley

I like to kind of keep my options open about what I listen to. Eric Clapton, and Cream too, to a lesser extent, came to my attention when it became the standard parent-child compromise at my father's house. I don't habitually listen to metal, but I like some of it. I've mainly been listening to a lot of Alternative rock. The problem with that, and almost all music, is that not that many groups that are really original and interesting are still original and interesting once they become famous. It doesn't always hold true, especially not with older groups, but now, groups always seem to become just like everyone else in order to make money.

Submitted!

You're on the mailing list, you've heard me complain about what American bands are doing to HM.
Even Iron Maiden seem to be giving Britain the boot, they're rich'n'famous and they can get away with it. But they have a solemn promise never to sell out, but with their recent actions it's starting to look like they are.
Sheesh, I gotta try to talk about bands other than Maiden...

Yup. I'm American, but our pop culture makes me so ashamed...

Ours ain't much better. It's all kids influenced by American fashion or teeny-bop crap.
Heh, remember the little rant from Bruce Dickinson I posted on the mailing list?

Yup, I remember it. I should've saved it and taped it to a wall in my school or something. My friend and I once walked around for a day posting signs that said "42" and "Don't Panic" in big friendly letters. They never caught us.
The only pop music I can stand is J-pop, Japanese pop music. Makes me wish I could understand the lyrics, though.

J-pop? That's a new one!
Oh yeah, hang on, 's'it true yer 14? I is.
I tend to print off things like Bruce's rant and stick 'em on places. I have 'Top Ten Signs You Might Be A NIMH-Fan Maniac' in my 'student planner' (as they call it).

It's also up on my homepage.

Yup. I'm 14. Unless my parents are lying. Which they could be, but I doubt it. Maybe I sound older online, because then I use more of my vocabulary than I do talking.

So far, I have many humourous sort of things I recieved via email or otherwise saved on my computer. I really should print them out.

We have student planner's as well. We're required to use them and must pay about $10 to replace one if it's lost. They think that helps.

I'd never assume that somebody on h2g2 was a kid unless they told me otherwise. However, there are a few were their (young) age quickly shines through their postings v quickly!

Out planners cost £2.50 when lost, and we've hit upon the cunning idea of pretending the original is lost, and then buying a second. So you have two planners, one to write homework in and the other for teachers to say how wicked you are!
However, we haven't put in into practise. *^_^*

That is true, most H2G2 users aren't kids. I've only met two people whose young age was very obvious, one of which revealed himself by flying into virtual rages when I commented that I didn't really like Pokemon all that much because my little brother won't shut up about them.

We only had one teacher who wrote comments, but gave up after two days because actually getting all of us to dig out our planners wasn't worth the effort. The othe thing was that she discovered that we kind of need the space she was writing in for assignments. Fortuantely, I never let my parents develop the annoying habbit of checking my assignment book.

Don't suppose that kid was Billian, eh?
Reminds me, if you check out the latest article on my homepage you'll see it's a list of young peopple on h2g2. Guess you may wanna add yourself to it smiley - smiley.

After half-term, we were a little confused as to which books to bring to a lesspn (cos of the way ourtimetable works). A lot of us didn't have geography books. so geography teacher went round, picked up about half the classes planners and moaned "look at all these I'#ve got to write in!" I wanted to say "don't write in them then". smiley - smiley

Watch itsmiley - winkeye. It wasn't me, it was probably Mewtwo. Thanks for putting me on your list of young Researchers. By the way, have you visited http://www.h2g2.com/A229772? It's kind of my duty to tell you about it.

It was in a forum for an article on penguins, of all places. It's not someone on the young researchers list(could you please add me to that BTW?). Someone else. YKsomething. I guess I let the argument go on for too long. Now I've just decided to ignore it. I was expressing feelings which were more about the show and card game than anything else. And I reccomended some other anime.

Mike, I have seen your homepage, and I feel guilty. I should participate in h2g2 more, but I like my real webpage... Now I'll go feel guilty about abandoning it. Probably update it too. Because it needs help. So does my real web page, but that's just 'cause it's in the midst of a color scheme transition and looks like hell. Or maybe I should do the outline for that legalization of Marijuana report... Damn life. Keeps me from the internet.

Ok, so I figure this argument is none of my business.

As for your homepage, well, do you have things that you'd like to add to your website but don't because of one reason or another? Well, I figure you can just slam it onto your homepage!
Say a bit about yourself, do some advertising for things. Take my homepage for example. Masses of links to things I'd like people to see, some graphics to express myself with, some fun gadgets I've picked up along the way etc etc.
