Hootoo Vampire Picture Day...
Batty_ACE Posted May 10, 2004
Well.. the anniversary of his death is tomorrow (I think). His birthday has almost past and the date of his memorial conflicts with The COVE's photo. Since I'm a mod at The COVE and an ACE here it would be a very unhappy decision to have to make.
Does someone happen to know of another date that is close in? I'm not good with trivia. Maybe the day the book was first published, the show was first broadcast or the site was born? Any trivia hounds out there?

The site celebrated its 5th birthday on 28th April and Douglas died on the 11th May... today for me now infact. I think the first radio series went out August 31st 1977.
I should have a screenshot program on here somewhere but do we have time to get everyone together? I am already at The Cove and I think I saw Ottox fairly close by. I could use telepathy to try and reach the others I guess. I don't know - your call really.
It was just a thought to have us all in the same square... a group within a group so to speak.

If we can get the rest there I've got a SoTel I can use to get there. I can move my 'pire there when I wake up in the morning. Approximately 0730 EDT.
Otherwise maybe Aug 31st would be a good plan.
If we had a 'group within a group' I couldn't be in the square because as a Mod of The COVE I'm expected to be in the building. I don't want to put my secondary in the photo too because there are so many who need to get in.

I'm on my way to bed. I'll check this thread when I wake up and will use my SoTel if we can arrange the meet. Otherwise we can plan it for August 31st or whatever day everyone agrees on.

Ottox!
I'm off to my sleep now so I'll send out a few messages to the others tomorrow if they don't post in this thread.

Seems we've already got company.
I had to leave though. That moneyloaded human in the square you came from was too tempting. I'm on my way back from the bank now, but out of AP.

Marjin, After a long time of procrastination back lurking Posted May 11, 2004
I ran through the Cove during my Cel(3) quest, and for the next weeks I keep on running.
Maybe I can get Nijram near, but he is busy collecting for T3, and I don't risk him using the transits, as it may update cookies to fail Marjin's quest.

The COVE is at 51st and Knotweed. But it seems everyone may not be able to go. I thought of the date without realizing it was less than 24 hours from then. We can discuss another date. Someone mentioned Aug 31st being significant?
It would be nice to make our 'anniversary' a happier thing than the death of our founder anyway...
