[An' it's prob'ly the closest I'll ever get to talking to him.]
Guess I better start remembering to launch SETI again. I've been forgetting lately. Gotta start racking up those results...gotta make our group look good.

PS.Oh, and Peta, couldja let him know that his link on the SETI site researcher page http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/cgi?cmd=team_lookup&name=h2g2+Researchers isn't working 'xactly right. SETI adds the http:// prefix and if you put it in also, your link ends up http://http://www.h2g2.com so it doesn't work. I did the same thing when I entered mine. Hadda go back an' fix it by reentering it without the http://

I'm so honoured to find DNA on this group now... YaHOO!!!!!!!
And to add: both Peta's and DNA's links from the Seti@home list miss the numbers of their pages.

something's bugging me...
Does DNA POST anywhere (apart from excerpts from the trilology, I mean) This post involves him, I mean, it's ABOUT him and we didn't get a single word from the man. It's silly I know, but it feels kinda odd that the guy who started this thing, the guy who created this brainchild we spend way too much time playing in, living in, making friends in, doesn't frequent it himself. I understand he's busy and all that, but...I don't know it feels odd.
Sorry, that's my rant for the week.

Douglas does post regularly to his own personal website - http://www.douglasadams.com. I know that Douglas actually reads h2g2 regularly, and he emails Mark, me and other team members with comments, thoughts and ideas on a regular basis.
I also email him with a list of the particularly good entries on a weekly basis, so he really is in touch with what goes on at h2g2 and is involved in how it is developing.
He rarely posts to h2g2 deliberately, because he wants the Guide to develop properly it's ours to build and develop, he doesn't want to attract Douglas Adams fans, because that might hinder the development of the guide... Does that all make sense Triv?

Hi Peta,
I can understand that DNA does not want to be swamped by 60.000 + researchers, but why doesn't he go undercover under a second id ? Or does he do that already ? I bet he does, I bet he does...

p.s. I think neither Shazz nor Kheldar have actually invited DNA to the Dutch meet. Consider it done now...hehehe. Just so he won't be able to say : 'Well they didn't ask me' later on...
