Yes, yes... big hit after Bennie and June, movie starring Johnny Depp and that girl from Fried Green Tomoatoes...
I hate that song... you would too, if you had to sit behind Brooke Bixler and Katie Cannon who sang that song every day for 1 and a 1/2 years!!!!!!

I just like the da da dunt da part.
(No, it's not exactly da da dunt da, but what it -is- is hard to spell. )

Early in the morning,
She ran to places where ponies had stood
Yesterday.
Then she cried because they had gone.
She was young,
And the world was killing her.
In her own fantasy Universe
She spent her time
While Real Life hung so far away
On yesterdays horizons.
Her body lay.
And her heart lay broken in her chest.
On possibilities that were
Yesterdays horizons.
Standing in a field
Standing in the middle of a field.
Yesterday,
She lay in her love's arms with no idea
That she had no chance
In a world with no hope
It's time to switch roles
She bears the consequences
Of what she did to others
On yesterdays horizons.
Her body lay.
And her heart lay broken in her chest.
On possibilities that were
Yesterdays horizons.

In my religion songs are important. They give us vital messages. They help us, they give us hope or, like that one, they tell someones life story.
Or they turn you on. Anyone heard Beck's new song?
"I want to defy the logic of our sex laws."
Do I ever.

Yes, fellow Galaxy Hitchhikers, and I think that if you would all read those very same Terms and Conditions of h2g2, you will find that publishing material here on h2g2 over which you do NOT have the copyright entitlement to, is a breech of those T & C 's..... That would apply I think to Song Lyrics quoted here in part and in full if they be not your own. I do however, stand and wait to be corrected on this.

*ignores the double posting all together after having had a quadruple post due to lag and an ISP-level web-cache that kept saying 'host not reachable'*
You didn't post to the wrong place, you posted to exactly the right place, just a bit late, as it had already been answered twice (at least) and I did that, too.. so fear not, faithful joiner.
(Oh.. and Hi there. *tailwaves* )
