The lyrics look depressing as written... I was in a slightly sarcastic mood when I wrote the verses (and I credit a Greatful Dead influence in the chorus, but I'm not 100% sure why) ... but the melody is not depressing... the song comes off more sarcastic and tounge in cheek than it does depressing. I'm no longer quite as mad at the subject as I was... I hope that, if she ever hears the song, she realizes that now it's all in good fun!

Sounds cool. Anyway, I got tired of writting love songs because they all sounded the same. Now I only write them when I have an original angle -- and that sarcasm was definately original for me. I realize that it's been done, but I hadn't done it yet.

In the "Lyrics and Poetry" forum I wrote a lyric which was amazing, but I can't remember what it was. You can go there and check it out, but it's not really worth the fuss.

If ya still looking for a half decent trumpet player, i'm quite good. I play lead in a Jazz Band if that will get me the job!

BTW:Someone asked who was singing. Well there's moi doing backing and someone else and danielt does main vocals. I think. Don't take my word though, go to the WWJ page and see.

I'm listed as "guitar and vocals", I believe. So I suppose that mean's I've got a mic in front of me, but I won't hog it, if someone else wants to come over and sing with me. Especially if she's pretty.
