You eeeeeeeeeediot!
Yes, I too love Dexters la-bore-a-tory!
Erm.. yes, plenty of jamming, baning away on my bongos and all, but where are the singers? Have we a lyricist yet? Hmm? I nominate myself and Irving for those priveleges
I'm sure he won't mind, from what I've read

Enjoy yourselves in your writing, gentlemen. I'm meant for the strings only!

Thanks Sporkulious Eglon, I think that someone said that Lyrics go in another forum... but here goes one last song for this forum:
"I Wish I was a statue
I Wish I was a stone
This foggy air'd be my breath
This hill would be my home
I Wish I was a monument to every
Girl I'd ever known
Thier names all engraved at my feet
While I stand here alone
I ain't going nowhere
Don't waste your time on my
I'm just gonna stand here
I'm everything you see
We once were good friends
But then you petrified me
I ain't going nowhere
Don't waste your time
I wish I was a statue
Erected just for you
Pigeons crapping on my head
And not much I can do
I'd be your decoration and I'd
Stand here tall and true
A shady place to hide behind
For your boyfriend and you
I ain't going nowhere
Don't waste your time on my
I'm just going to stand here
I'm more than what you'd see
We once were good friends
But then you petrified me
I ain't going nowhere
Don't waste your time"

Your song is depressing, Irvin', not that any of mine are any better.
I might try and right an optimistic one, though I'm not going to go over the top like mentioning no names (spits words) S club 7.
How anyone can stand that drivvle will remain forever a mystery to my mind. Damn anything else that really is shit.

The lyrics look depressing as written... I was in a slightly sarcastic mood when I wrote the verses (and I credit a Greatful Dead influence in the chorus, but I'm not 100% sure why) ... but the melody is not depressing... the song comes off more sarcastic and tounge in cheek than it does depressing. I'm no longer quite as mad at the subject as I was... I hope that, if she ever hears the song, she realizes that now it's all in good fun!

That's really sweet!
I don't need to write a song for daSilva 'cos there already is one.

Sounds cool. Anyway, I got tired of writting love songs because they all sounded the same. Now I only write them when I have an original angle -- and that sarcasm was definately original for me. I realize that it's been done, but I hadn't done it yet.

In the "Lyrics and Poetry" forum I wrote a lyric which was amazing, but I can't remember what it was. You can go there and check it out, but it's not really worth the fuss.

If ya still looking for a half decent trumpet player, i'm quite good. I play lead in a Jazz Band if that will get me the job!

BTW:Someone asked who was singing. Well there's moi doing backing and someone else and danielt does main vocals. I think. Don't take my word though, go to the WWJ page and see.

I'm listed as "guitar and vocals", I believe. So I suppose that mean's I've got a mic in front of me, but I won't hog it, if someone else wants to come over and sing with me. Especially if she's pretty.

Welcome to the Jam Bazooka! jazz trumpet, cool!
Remember everyone that Jamming is about improvisation and being spontaneous! If your on the list as a guitarist or whatever, it doesn't mean that you can't go sing and play the drums for a while...... You can even try playing my Sitar if you like!!! Experiment and do what ever you like - Just NO Country Music!!!
