h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I started of by observing the reams of text and thought can I be botherd. Now I am so glad that I could. I feel as if my life has now been raised to a higher state, knowing that the ultimate truth has been revealed. I mean who hasn't spent a day at home on Saturday afternoon shouting at that programme.
I must however comment on the fact that I feel as if Roy Walker is now becoming bitter as last time I watched the show, about three months ago. Mr Walker had started to act as all of the home crowd has done in the past to abuse the ugly contestants. Maybe not as obviously but for certain the jokes have gotten even worse and he's throwing in the odd snide remark.

(Adopts bland Walker-oid expression and mild NI accent)

(Picks up Computer monitor as if seizing an inspirational icon and yells)

YOU'RE RIGHT

What a guy. What a show. What an article.

The Teleboffins have now coined a phrase to describe the phenomenon. They call it "The shout factor". Shows like Who Wants to be a Millionaire owe their success to high shout factors.

To me, however, I've got to say that Roy has more of a "Run from the room and scream factor". That's good, but it's not what's written here on the card.
