Secretly Not Here Any More

Go watch and review the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I'd be interested to see what other people think (got a bit of a review in my journal, apologies for missing a bleep, long night).

Twas scary!

Um, had occurred to me, but I'd like to see the original first (have had it on tape for about three years but never got round to watching it). Next couple of weeks worth of reviews pretty much sorted out though. Would you like to write a guest review yourself? Space always available for those. smiley - smiley

What could the 24LAS in a fortnight's time be a review of?

The 'spectacular Matrix' Revolutions?

That 'joke' is getting a bit tired and it wasn't even that accurate to begin with.

Anyway, nope. smiley - smiley

It wasn't a joke!

Hey I'm stuck Star Wars references in each of my reviews... which will be quite unavoidable when I review Clone Wars.

Not reviewing The Matrix? Apoch on thee!

Yes, but if I have referred to the Matrix as spectacular it must have been no more than twice and certainly not a conscious thing.

Never said I wasn't reviewing Revolutions...

I bet you're so proud AotC has been voted one of the Ten Cheesiest Films of all time... smiley - smiley

The Anakin/Padme 'romance'??

Yeah, well, that was stomach churning anyway.

Strange how they can base the film on one moment like the Independence Day thing.

It's odd, I'd say Independence Day was cheesy-good (there, I've said it, it's a film I've always liked and I'm not ashamed of the fact) and AotC was cheesy-bad.

The whole film wasn't cheesy, just those bits.

Never bothered me ID4... Dragging a smelly alien was quite funny... but I thought it was a comedy anyway.

You can't say aaaaall of AotC was cheesy otherwise Episode V would be aswell... 'Noo that's not true. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Noooooooooooooo!'

ID4's great fun...
and I don't have to be embarrassed by Bill Paxton's cheesey speech what with being non-american (sitting out in the desert with marbles in my mouth instead)

so much of star wars is twaddle though - and bad twaddle. But when it's good it's very very good, which just about makes up for it.
Only Christopher Lee could redeem that sound of music moment.

ROFL smiley - laugh

Has anyone heard the UK Independence Day? A genuine, proper spin-off radio thingy with Nicky Campbell, Patrick Moore, and Toyah fighting the aliens (Toyah plays an RAF fighter pilot, the others play themselves). Very good, very funny, smarter than the film, in fact. And the aliens vaporise Mark Goodier! smiley - smiley

Ooh lumme. A good question, as it was made to coincide with the movie... er... ebay? Dunno.

If it's no longer commercially available I suppose I might be prevailed upon to, *ahem*, make copies...
