"If you don't know who all of these characters are, stop reading the review now and join a library. If you don't know who any of them are, just stop reading the review."

Well said, that man!

But what have you got against Sean Connery?

Awix

Oh, well, I was planning one of my special 'Awix takes a look at...' style things on Connery next time there's a slack week, but the basic problem I have with him is that - since leaving Bond - his cracker/turkey film ratio has been appalling.

I mean okay, he was good in The Untouchables and The Man Who Would Be King and a few others, but everywhere else you look things like The Avengers and Zardoz and Meteor and First Knight rear into view. Connery is always memorable and charismatic in whatever role he's playing. But I can't help wondering if the actual films might not be better if they weren't so utterly centred on him.

Very entertaining!
