How about mentioning that Mad Magazine has been featured in The Simpsons a couple of times (which is the only place I've ever heard of it!).

I loved Mad magazine when I was younger - how about mentioning Dave Berg and The Lighter Side Of...
The brilliant movie send ups they used to do in each magazine...
I'll have to get up in the loft and see what's about.

I suppose I could mention Dave Berg and the Simpsons. I could also mention the Tales from the Crypt tv show.

Just for people's reference here in PR, here is a link to the Writing Workshop thread for an earlier iteration of this entry: F57153?thread=328961
The entry has definitely improved greatly over time.
And Jerk, could you please remove the other copy of the entry from the WW now if it's going to be here in PR? An entry is really only supposed to be in one forum at any given time -- it's less confusing for us all that way!
thanks!
Mikey

Thanks Mikey couldn't have done it without you. Now I just need to keep it near the top of the review list. This post will put it there for a little while.
Thanks again

Historical evidence would seem to dictate otherwise.
But, it generally is considered to be poor form to post messages that do nothing but the thread more than every few days. If you really, really want to keep posting in the thread every 12 hours or so, Jerk, you should probably find something subtantive to post about -- i.e., "I fixed a spelling error in paragraph X", or "I think this sentence needs help with the grammar, does anyone have any ideas?"

I'll try to control my eagerness I guess I could give it good looking over and make sure my links still work while I at it.

I just added a nice juicey link to the article. It's about Fredric Wertham, he wrote "suduction of the inoccent". I also added some details about how the magazine is separated, and a little tidbit about Prince Charlse!!!

I just finished running the article through word, can't realy say I like word but then I didn't read much of the help. I did, however, find some typos; I corrected the spelling of Charles and Simpsons and a few other little changes were made.
I like that Word will suggest changes but I found it suggesting I capitalize a few characters in the middle of a sentense. I guess I'll have to learn more about it.
