The two peddles being the gas and the break... it's an automagical clutch type doodad that is engaged once they press the gear change paddle. I think.

Ahhhhh so how do they change gear if they can't use a cluch! and also whats a gurney flap???

When they press the gear up paddle, a computer-thing looks at the engine to see if the revs are right, and if they are it changes gear. If they aren't it waits until they are. Or something similar.

what, the gurney flap? isn't it the bit which on a wing (plane type) points downish at the back to give more lift and would do the inverse I guess on a F1 car, that is point up to give more down force?

right its was a bit of an itialian lunch so i'm now back smiley - biggrin


As you may know or not! a single plain crankshaft is one crankshaft with the webs of the connectiing rod and a single plane so in standared V10 F1 engine there is only one firing order as the, connecting rods are connected in pairs on a single big end bearings!
