Gee, sorry I got back to this a bit late.
I had wanted to check on a map for the geographical anomaly that allows Texas to lie in all directions from Roswell (kind of like the nook in Missouri where you can sit on the banks of the Mississippi and watch the sun set over Illinois).
While it's true that you can get to Texas by leaving Roswell in nearly any direction, it's incorrect to say that Texas lies at the extremeties of highways 285 and 380. 285 north ends at I-25 in Denver and 380 ends at I-25 in San Antonio, NM. I hate to bring this up because I really like that part of the entry, but it's factually inaccurate. Is there any way to rework this without losing the 'all roads lead to Rome' aspect?

I had thought about this before - and you're exactly right that it is more the case that you will end up in texas no matter what you do, but not if you stick precisely to those roads. So it is not that Texas lies at the extremeties of each road per se, but that once you leave Roswell in any of these directions, you will inevitably end up in Texas - you know, due to the warping of geographical lines. Let me think about this some today. Thanks
btw, the 'nook in Missouri' you speak of, is that Cape Girardeaux?

Ok, here would be my suggestion to the sub - replace the following paragraph:
>>Highway 380 (Second Street) runs East-West and Highway 285 (Main Street) runs North-South. They cross in downtown, and at each of their extremities lies the State of Texas. This is due to a warping of geographical lines known as the 'All Roads lead to Rome' rule of relativity; drive North and you'll end up in Amarillo, to the East lies Lubbock, travel West and find yourself in El Paso, and South is San Antonio.<<
with this one:
->Highway 380 (Second Street) runs East-West and Highway 285 (Main Street) runs North-South, but not for long. Although they cross in downtown at cardinal directions, if you were to drive away along any one of these, careful to stay on what looks to be the main highway, you will find yourself in the State of Texas. This is due to a warping of geographical lines known as the 'All Roads lead to Rome' rule of relativity; start North and you'll end up in Amarillo, to the East lies Lubbock, start West and find yourself in El Paso, and South is the town of Pecos.<-
There, does that properly convey the inevitability of Texas without misleading?
Thanks again for picking this up
