The first act was good, the second was really funny, but the third was creepy and sad, so I didn't like the delivery of the moral.

Well, in the first act, the banker is on top, the architect below him, and the groccer below the architect. The the architect's building collapses, so he goes to the bottom, then the bank fails and the banker goes to the bottom, at which point the grocer, who has made a lot of money, have huge amounts of money in the bank and is pretty much the only thing holding it up and so all the characters dance around trying to entertain the grocer and get his money.

Didn't the grocer lose his money when the bank failed? The banker would still have plenty of money if the story took place in the states. And the grocer would be on strike. The architect could get a slimey lawer to claim he never intended habitation, it was only art.
