I am so glad that I don't watch any soaps, I find that life makes slightly more sence without them.

Menza Posted May 8, 2001
Well as most of the very silly US ones are on during the day I miss them cos I'm at work. But the rest are just as bed anyway.

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted May 8, 2001
No but you see, that's the fun, there's an omnibus at the weekend where you can watch them all at once

Menza Posted May 8, 2001
Oh right, I can just see me sitting in front of the TV watching some totally outlandish characters overacting in an unfeasable plot ..... Hang on ... That sounds like Red Dwarf!!!

I work at a TV station and I'm paid to watch the soaps! I always warn the new Master Control Operators they will get addicted no matter what.

Bagpuss Posted May 9, 2001
I'd need to be paid...
No, I don't watch them, Tink, though I have seen the odd episode of the aforementioned Sunset Beach.

I watch Neighbours!!! It's such quality entertainment...
*grins at Menza*
I thought you were supposed to be technically minded? Even I've worked out to ask other people to set the video for me
The Snug
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted May 9, 2001
Oh...can't you just randomly grab a passer by and claim to be conducting a survey for the video company? Or take it back to the shop and claim the timer systems broken and that way they'll set it for you to prove it's not...unless it is in which case thats a bad plan
