BAGPUSS!!!
*hugs*
Hooray
I haven't spoken to you in ages!
*acts as if thats not her fault for ineffectively e-mailing*
How are you?
The Snug
Bagpuss Posted Apr 22, 2001
Yes, and the reason it lasts so long is that no-one's stupid enough to eat it.
The Snug
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Apr 22, 2001
*grins*
I thought it was because everyone forgot that it was still there?
*assumes Bagpuss must be ok as he ignored her polite questions*
The Snug
Bagpuss Posted Apr 22, 2001
I'm ok. I just missed your post.
*ponders the fact that this is the only pub where I can get hugged and not notice for seven minutes*
Did I mention that I'm going to Canada next year?
The Snug
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Apr 22, 2001
*would complain about being ignored but thinks that's probably slightly unfair considering she still hasn't replied from a month ago*
I'm writing it now though...
*grins*
I make it longer than 7 minutes
Canada? For definite? Next year? Oh... No you didn't tell me that, Well Done! When do you go?
The Snug
Bagpuss Posted Apr 22, 2001
Cheers.
It was 7 minutes when I noticed, I just had to type my reply.
If I get a 2:1 (which I will) I can go. I reckon I'll go during the first few days of September, since registration starts on the 4th and if I go in September rather than August the air fare won't be quite as ridiculously inflated. I'll find out when I can move in to whatever accommodation they give me.

It was at least 21 minutes...possibly...I'm not good at counting backwards
Oooh...sounds fun...so will you still be in Leeds in June then? I believe I'm still owed a trip to that pub...
The Snug
Bagpuss Posted Apr 22, 2001
It was a very thoughtfully composed reply.
Yep, got to be around for exam results at least (23rd June), but if I get a job in Leeds I'll be here all the time anyway. Canada certainly sounds good. I'll only be 30 miles from Niagra falls (despite which, Thom the mountaineer still insists he'll meet me at the Rockies).

*smiles at Bagpuss*
It was a lovely reply, thankyou
*thinks*
I'll be there by then! Well actually I'm randomly there before then but I'll mail you about that as I finally have the details...only took them 3 months but still
You'll be that close to the Rockies? Wow...You better send photo's!

*takes *
I do remember your saying it would be in May.
The point of my comment was that it's about 2000 miles away from the Rockies, though it's hard to fault Thom's logic that if he can make it from the UK, then I can make it from Ontario.

*takes but feels guilty that Menza has to keep pouring them drinks*
...
*fetches a HUGE armchair for Menza to sit on and then places supplies of cake next to it*
Yes but I actually know when in May now! I got no letter from them for months and now I have so many...
Oh I see... aaah well thats kinda near to the Rockies..ish...
