*rubs Volraths head again*
You really should stop doing that, it's not good for you at all...
*looks confused*
What light bulb thing...I never saw a broken lightbulb...unless you mean an over en-fuse-iastic light bulb in which case I'm allowed to be confused

Burning? That's not nice either...you'll do yourself serious damage y'know...
*passes Volrath a fireproof suit and makes sure he puts it on properly*
See much better

No, we broke the chandelier. So when we fixed it we bolted it to the floor so we could clean it easier.

Clean it? Why would you do that...

Except possibly for surgeons about to perform an operation.

But if they spend all their time cleaning themselves, by the time they get to the operations room, the patient is dead!
I wonder how many lives would be saved if the Doctors etc. just operated, and didn't wait to be cleaned up etc.

I'm sure there must be a flaw somewhere in that logic..
A Different Conversation That Tink CAN Listen To.
Bluebottle Posted Oct 16, 2000
How can there be?
If someone is dying, then every second before the doctor arrives increases the chance of them dying. So if a Doctor takes ages to clean themselves before operating, the patient has more chances of dying than if the doctor didn't.

*Peregrin wanders in and picks up on the conversation*
Besides, you never see the patient cleaning themselves before the operation either. So why do the doctors spend ages cleaning themselves when the patient is all grubby anyway?

I have to say, you've got me there. Perhaps you should call the NHS and explain this very simple way of managing their over-stretched resources better.

I think they ought to laugh at patients more. It's a well known fact that laughter is the best medicine.

I don't think the hernia patients will agree with you on that one.

Y'know I was so sure that he just suggested that the doctors should laugh 'at' the patients It's no wonder I'm always so confused if people type easily mis-interpretable things like that...

Well, it is what I wrote actually.
And it's not an original joke I'm afraid, I nicked it from a Far Side cartoon.

In Germany, don't they say, "laughter is the best medicine, but unfortunately it's not availiable on prescription"?
(that one was nicked from I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue)
