*passes over a mug of strong coffee*
Sorry about that, I forgot it was such a strong brew
Here try this instead, it allegedly tastes of whatever you want it too and it has no hangover effects...but you do get drunk very quickly so be warned.
*passes over some of the election bribery drink she was given*

*shakes water from head to stop it swimming*
*downs coffee*
*eyes proferred drink even more suspiciously than the first*
*shrugs*
What the...
*takes a sip... smiles in a most peculiar and worrying manner*
You tried mixing these into a cocktail before I take it?
*starts laughing hysterically*

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Sep 12, 2000
It apparantly tastes of whatever you want it too so I've not touched it...well apart from to drink it anyway
*pours herself a glass and thinks of yummy drinks*
Mmmmm...oh wait here come the strange coloured blotches
*stands up to start singing Kylie songs*
"I'm spinning around..."

*starts spinning around*
I think I've just discovered a side-effect. Could you try a slightly gentler song please.

I suppose I should contribute more often, it looks like I've just sat drinking my pint for 18 hours and whilst I like to savour my drink (if it's nice) that's a little excessive. Pleased to meet everybody, anyroad.

Sometimes pints can take weeks in here
*passes over another G|_| to Bagpuss and a to Pegasus*
See how you go with this one.
And Menza I wouldn't worry about it, you'll always be the land lord. I suspect once the election is over I won't get any more free drinks so enjoy your time off whilst you can

Maybe a litre then? The Brickies in Leeds subject of one of my articles has some in the shape of boots. Anyway lasses should drink halves (half a quart in this case, but the principle applies). Or perhaps a nice sherry, far more ladylike. [ducking]

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Sep 13, 2000
You'll be pleased to know that I do actually drink halves so I won't take offence to that but suggesting that I'd drink icky sherry? Honestly

Bagpuss Posted Sep 13, 2000
Actually sherry is rather nice. Useful addition to stews etc when you don't have any beer around (not often). I had Pimms forced on me at Mirfield, which is a posh theological college. In fact I tell a lie; not Pimms, but Pimms and cucumber, absolutely hideously disgusting. Something like how I imagine the drink that the drink machine served Arthur Dent tastes.

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Sep 13, 2000
I'm still not drinking sherry but Pimms and lemonade is nice...
Anyway, further in my quest to get a response to my plee of help, can you read the "fairy in need of computery assistance" thread and try and give me some computery assistance. It's my article on Silverstone mud you see, it's not appreciated by the computer

Wilco, Tinkerbell, though I expect a drink for this. Oh, I already have one.

*wanders back in looking a bit jetlagged*
Strangest thing... took a sip of that last drink... and found myself in LA. Drinking in LA...
Think I'll stick to something gentler tonight.
