*puts in earplugs and starts shouting to Kes about Lego*
Did you say you want more or less architects with an interest in Lego? I love the stuff. Apparently (I'm sure this must have been mentioned here already, but I thought it worth bringing it up again) isn't it a recognised part of a good engineer's education to play with Lego? And also there was something about people who make multi-coloured houses writing bad code. I'm an architectural student and used to build multi-coloured houses, which I think is probably more worrying. Though I think I was just ahead of my time - they shouldn't be called multi-coloured, just Post-Modern
Oh, and yes, my coding does have a certain character to it. At least I don't use GOTOs any more.

Put it down EV. It's not a toy. Anyway my ICQ is fixed and the User Data Box is back. I'm blaming "net congestion" ... or weevils.

I must go to bed. I have to get up early tomorrow to take the car in for its MOT.

*Bangs hammer on table, then remembers that he is a member of Save The Hammers* Whoops, sorry hammer. *buys the hammer a drink*

'Ning everyone. Can I have a quick please?
Yes Lego is great for cutting architects' teeth on - from an early age.
It's not bad for engineers either, except that there are severe limitations to making structural 90 degree turns in 3-D.
And it doesn't mess up the bar like drills and hammers. Pity there wasn't a software patch to your problems!

*pours bubbly and proffers Y*
Certainly - here you are. I wondered who was paying at the moment.
Sorry if my conversation's a bit slow. I think someone needs to take the toolkit to the server, or my server, or the links - anyway at the moment it's running with all the speed and grace of a ruptured slug (as seen from my end).

*runs out to visit Dick and Art's second hand drinking vessel emporium (tankards to the nobility, grails a speciality). Returns with interesting but tarnished goblet (approx. 220 ml capacity). Grabs bar towel and commences hurring and polishing (no spitting) *

Here's to all things holy - socks excepted. Your astonishingly good health, FC.
I'm intrigued - do tell more.

Wow! Well, there's only one thing to do in a situation like this.
*pours more bubbly drinks; raises Y*
Cheers.
Do you have more angelic activities scheduled for today, or are you now on a seraphic booze-break?

Fashion Cat Posted Jul 19, 2000
LOL! Always on call, though I'm sure I can fit some drinking time in... I know Zax would encourage it, him being the Patron Saint of Alcoholic Indulgences....

That's good. We still have about 940 ml of champagne to go, and only a very select gathering here. What a crew! Including the assorted champagne supplies, we seem to have widows (Cliquot, Bollinger), abbots (Perignon) angel and Lego lover.
*some feathers have floated down after the last victory loop. K removes one from his glass*
Despite what the moderates say, when it comes to alcohol one has to struggle to get enough - one can never have too much - at least, not that I can recall.
Down the hatch! *still thinking about feathers?*
