actually instant hot chocolate, where all you have to do IS add milk is quite nice. at least it was when we made it in halls and added lots of fake baileys to it! smiley - smiley

How is everyone this fine evening? I am feeling just dandy, apart from England's dismal performance on the pitch which has caused me to walk away in disgust, hence my presence here! I am proud to announce a complete lack of hangover, thus I have to come up with a different excuse for one of those lovely hot chocolates. Ermmm, can't think of one, but could I have one anyway?

no, I think a better excuse than that is required.

Why, what do they do to you?

Cake and pub food - the servery part 5

Post 132

AEndr, The Mad Hatter

well, the shoelaces come undone deliberately and they rub my heels raw through socks and plasters

You should change brands, Ændr. I'm terrible to my shoes - intensive use including drawing pins in the soles picked up in the studios, school wear from the tender age of 14 (me, not the shoes) and infrequent polishing (not to mention standing in the mud at the RAC rally in them shortly after I got them) - yet they're nearly 8 years old and are only just beginning to fall apart.

I wear 8 different brands of shoes, which brand should I change to?
the only ones I really like are Brasher walking boots and I can't wear those with a suit, very easily.

I tend only to wear DM's, but then I rarely have to wear a suit. smiley - smiley

lucky you, you're not a civil servant

say, what about your cambridge job? what is the dress code there?

The 8 year old ones are Clarkes. Very boring, but rather robust. I used to cut quite a dash several years ago wearing Kickers, but I doubt they'd suit me these days. And besides, as I'm 6'4" tall, one priority when purchasing is ones that don't have too thick a sole as I hate towering above people more than necessary.

As I'm 6'1" thats not too much of a problem. And the dress code of the new job is very relaxed. smiley - smiley

6'1" is still fairly tall, or at least that's what trouser manufacturers think.
