Does mould grow on spam?

Only if it is left out long enough.

I thought mold was one of the prime ingredients for spam?

Only in the fatal verieties.

It doesn't sound so well in a song "Mouldy spam, mouldy spam, mouldy spam" etc doesn't have the same ring to it.

Depends on what kind of song you are writing. Personally, I thin I could make it work.
