If alcohol was discovered tomorrow, it would be illegal. With the health and safety releted side effects, it would never be legalised. Its just that it has been around so long that it is accepted.

If breathing was discovered tomorrow it would be illegal smiley - smiley Far to many poisons in the air.

Most things are bad for you one way or another. But its better than just turning into a vegetable.

You can turn into a vegetable by stopping breathing? I want to be a mango! *holds breath*

Sorry, I don't think you get a choice, the default seems to be a cabbage ( was that a bit un-P.C.??? )

Sorry Shorty, I didn't mean to offend anyone. That one depends on your point of view, I guess - I was thinking more reduced to the state of, say, a politician when I posted that message.

We used to live next-door to a family called 'Leek' - appropriate, I guess, as my family's surname is 'Wade'. Even worse, one of the assistants at my Dad's school has the double-barrelled surname 'Rainy-Dronfield' (not sure that that's how it's spelt, but that's how it's pronounced). smiley - smiley And there's a guy who goes thundering up and down the road my parent's live on in his showy 4x4, particularly when it's snowy, which has the numberplate M10PYA. I wonder if anyone's told him that's the medical term (albeit phonetically) for short-sightedness smiley - smiley I really can't believe it's his surname!

You didn't offend me mate, it's not possible to offend me smiley - smiley...as for strange names I used to know a train guard who went by the name of Ian Alfred Micheal Thick, Thing is he used to have all his initials on his name badge so it read "I A M Thick", rather fitting really as he couldn't outwit a glass of water.
