well in war the merchant marine is called up and during ww2 merchant seamen carring war supplies suffered the second most casulaties only to the marines. So I think we kinda count.

I am about to go to bed, it being 1.30am this side of the atlantic. I had been writing a little story for the amusement of various people and royalty in another forum and I was waiting for feedback. Have a look on http://www.h2g2.com/forumframe.cgi?forum=29432&thread=35362
if you like tales of derring-do and noble actions. But I'm afraid I have to leave now, I need to be up early tomorrow morning.
