Ahh, so this is where everyone is.

Curses... rumbled
*blushes*
Yup, blues slide guitar is the other way I occupy my time. I could give you the VR version..'I taught Clapton all he knows..etc.etc.'
on the other hand I could tell the truth... I discovered that open tuning and a bottleneck are so much easier than finger-picking ;_)

BluesSlider - I have been practicing guitar, finger picking, for the last year, my chops are getting there and I am currently working on Danny Boy.
What real differences are there between the two?

Between finger-picking and slide? I guess my distinction was not really valid, you can finger pick slide, it all depends on what your left hand in doing(No smirking!), assuming you are right handed of course.
Most slide guitar tends to be open tuning....*thinks*..Do you want to pick this up somewhere else? I can't help feeling most folks are going to be asleep about half way through this and I don't want to be the pub bore

Thanks for .
Erm, exactly when did "I'm going to change my name soon" start?
Darkness, Princess of
(Perhaps I'll change my name, but since I'm going for brand Identity I'd better not.)

A pleasure.
I started thinking about it as soon as I joined up but couldn't think of one. Then I thought I'd wait until one of the university clubs I'd joined had given me a nickname (no luck so far). Finally over Christmas I decided that it was time I changed it and have been thinking more about it the last teo or three days

I know that George Thorogood (sp?) did it, but I'm not sure if he covered it or not.
