British Telecom. But they do give an 0800 phone number at the weekend, its the only reason I stay with them.

Good enough reason.
I did hear that tempo or tandy or one of those shops beginning with T was doing something similar. Giving both free access and free calls. But that was a few months ago and I haven't heard anything since.
Of course I heard it on the radio and it might only be a London thing.

There is a free, freephone one setting up in the new year. Febuary I think. I have no idea what its called.

No sense worrying about it though.
I have enough to think about trying to get a work placement for six months starting in July. I have to start applications in January and I have no idea which area I'll be going into.
I don't even know which subjects I'm doing next semester. That's going to make applications a little awkward.

Yep, I've only just got used to university, now I've got to think about going to a completely different atmosphere.
I'm not even sure which country I want to work in yet.
Decisions, decisions

I'm trying to stay in the UK, but they pay so well in the US.

Of course then there's the immigration problems.
I was thinking Ireland or UK.
Parents or placement? I could get a job in Ireland, live with my parents and ssave some money, or I could get a job in the UK and have more chance of seeing people from university. Its a lifestyle choice really. Probably better to stay over here though my parents would be rather upset. I got a phone call this morning and they are desperate to see me tomorrow.

And now I'm back, sorry the IE5 update screwed up my system a but.

It's easier for me to use netscape, it's the closest icon to the mouse when I start up. And IE has a nasty habit of wanting to save your passwords. That annoys me.

I'm using my computer at home, so I have no problems like that. But I still hate some of the online update stuff that Microsoft use.

Hi everyone, this looks like a nice place...can I butt in? I'm new and just looking round a bit. Got sore feet so I thought I'd rest up here for a bit. Somewhere on my travels I saw that you can have a list of whos online at any time. Can anyone tell me where that was?
Oh and I'll have a drink while I'm here, a G & T in a looong glass with ice and a twist of lemon, or is it beer only in this joint?

Ahhh your own _personal_ computer. That is but a dream for me.
A |_| while I sit and fantasize about owning a PC, please.

Menza@@e, a G & T in a looong glass with ice and a twist of lemon for Warper here!
Now then, that who's online list thing... if you're feeling energetic you could have a look at http://www.h2g2.com/dontpanic.cgi?name=dontpanic#12.4 which gives you some code you can copy into your homepage to give you a link to the clever little pop-up window. *looks around furtively* But they do say that you can just look at http://www.h2g2.com/users.cgi if you want it full screen....
