*grins again*
Well... You know all my F1 heroes right? I met them all!

Met?
All?
The brothers too?
And Jacques and DC and Mika?
Where?
When?
How?
*it has been six months - I'll find the thread and post# if you insist!*

Sheesh what happened to my smiley in that last post?
Anyway, what's a nice girl like you doing hanging around Silverstone testing. Uhm ..right?

Yes
*gets a dreamy look in her eyes*
All of them except for DC, Jenson, Frentzen and Minardi who weren't there... oh and Heidfeld and Jarno but I was too grinny by that time to even attempt to meet them
*sits grinning quietly to herself*

*notes with pleasure that Jackie Stewart has been knighted*
Hey Tink, maybe you could start the next thread for the Nurburgring, Grand Prix of Europe, with a few words about your Silverstone encounters.
Oh, I probably shoulda mentioned that a friend, inspired by my newly acquired toy (the car I promised never to mention again, but it's such fun!) went out and found a 3-series BMW just prior to the last race. (Damn things always remind me of the old Anglia.) Anyway, it seems he and I were both thinking 'bimmer' all through the race. So was Michael (LOL) apparently.
Anyway, the old 'any friend of my friend is my friend' rule seems to have come into play, and as there is no Triumph entry in F-1, I am now an official BMW fan (Juan Pablo's adding to the list of brutish former Cart champs who fail in the more delicate and fragile world of F-1 notwithstanding). The BMW should be well suited to the Nurburgring. Go Ralph go!

I know isn't it great! He should have got one ages ago, Eddie Jordan next hopefully
He got a BMW? I've always liked the Z3
Yeah I was cheering for Ralf throughout the race so I think I've changed my support to 'Schumachers' now

Well the Z-8 is probably my car. But world economics being in such a state I am not able to get much sympathy in realising that quest. That's my car I say, but nobody listens.
I only wish my friend had bought at least a Z-3.
It's a 325 from 1987, back when they were 'building their reputation'. And like I say, reminds me of my old Anglia, armoured but uninsulated.

So you have a Z-8 like I have a TVR Tuscan 6 speed in chromaflair paint then? I find it's cheaper just to own these cars in theory

If I lived in merry-olde I'd probably want a TVR too. Much admire their cars, though none has been seen over here for twenty years.
Lotus apparently is going to start shipping 250's and Elises to North Am soon.
And Maserati (now a Ferarri company) is going to target the US soon too - and again I wonder if Michael will be driving a Maserati in 2004 or 2005. There are now six Ferrari engines in every Grand Prix so it wouldn't be difficult to manage a couple with the Maserati brand. And what a way for the 'greatest champion ever' to live out his golden years, going for a title in a third team. Only Fangio ever won for three different marques.
Did you start a Nurburgring thread yet?
