Okay so these men are all short. And they often wear suits that are too big (this manifests in the female equivalent as big shoulder pads). And they crave power. Like a baby craves breast milk. As if it kept their hearts beating (if they had them) and their lungs processing oxygen.

There must be some link between the height thing and the power thing. They must be trying to compensate for their innate smallness by becoming big. Larger than life if you will.
