I don't understand who you're supposed to be offending (or not approving) either. Seems like a good article to me.

My guess is that the sub-ed thinks I hate members who are stereotypical nerds, or, as i put it, "rocket scientists, computer geeks, and Trekkies." The real aim of that paragraph is to DEBUNK the myth that all mensans are geeks. And the whole thing becomes rediculous when you discover my profession, which is, oddly enough, computer geek. So apparently, I hate myself. Then it gets rediculous again when you hear the story behind the story. I chat on IRC with mensans all the time. When I posted this article, I tipped the channel off about it, and gave them the url, and they quite eagerly pounced on it, giving me an intense group editing session that left me feeling slightly flushed and violated. If anyone was offended, I'm sure I would have been notified.
Anyway, what does "borders on mildly offensive" mean? How about "it could almost be considered slightly derogatory," or "caused a momentary twinge of something that nearly resembles irritation which quickly passed?"
Nevertheless, I still have people like you coming by and saying nice things. Thanks for all the positive support.

Hmm.. Perhaps the Sub was miffed because [s]he had missed out on acceptance by a percent or two?
