hmm it's very short, the Entry is not about the second Boer war, or about Queen Victoria, just the choccie.
I've not added links yet, will do so soon.

A bit short, but still very good. Perhaps you could add this link for a picture of the tin. http://www.slv.vic.gov.au/miscpics/0/0/1/im/mp001935.jpg
Can't think of what else you could add really.

Just a thought and to help spread the entry out a little. Perhaps you could seperate the section regarding what the tins were used for afterwards. Give it a title like 'Personal Items'. That's just off the top of my head, you sould probably think of a better one.

Also there's no entry on Queen Victoria (unbelievable really), but there is this

Interesting entry, and a wonderful idea of the queen.
Looking at the photos of the tin though, I can't imagine they could hold more personal belongings than maybe a ring, or the identity disk if it was already in use that far back?
Oh, and you say:
>>The chocolate manufacture, Cadbury, [who] since around 1854 ...<< shouldn't that be 'which'?

>>Ps. wouldn't the chocolate melt in the heat?<<
With an average daily max. of temps between 24 and 27°C (depending on where in South Africa you are), I don't think that was too much of a problem.

for your comments and compliments
A question for you, which link do you think I should use
http://www.boerwarsociety.org/images/chocolate.jpg
or
http://www.slv.vic.gov.au/miscpics/0/0/1/im/mp001935.jpg
I'll think of a title for the use of the tins as suggested.
Yes, I scratched my head, and thought 'what can you fit in there', when I saw the picture of the tins, I'll elaborate a bit on that. Bel, the 'dog tags' were first used in the Boer war, so that's something of interest I can add in relation to the empty tin's use.

I'll change 'who to 'which'
Links will be added soon.

I prefer the second link, the picture is larger and the tinbox looks used, not brand new as in the first link.
I had no idea that the 'dogs tags' where introduced in that very war, I'm really glad I mentioned them
Do you know the size of the tin boxes? I could imagine that quite a few soldiers took a b/w photograph of their beloved; when looking at my grandma's albums, these photos were quite small in size(probably because of the costs) and on relatively thick paper - don't know about the UK, though.

You can have external links. Not too many, mind and you need to be sort of sure it will still be there next week - so no commercial sites etc, but yes, you are allowed.
Photo sounds a better idea though

If you read that section carefully Steve, it says you can't to link to Researchers Personal Spaces, I had read it a couple of times to understand that. Other links within the guidelines are fine.
