That's charming, Deb. I regularly play Christmas music on my stereo. A lot of it is soothing. smiley - smiley

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Christmas songs, a bit like the jingles from adverts, often plonk themselves in my head smiley - doh After listening to the bonzos earlier, then some Zappa, I had 'Jollity farm' for a while, and now I've got the live version of Montana mixed with whipping post in my head from err you can't do that on stage anymore volume.... err 2 or 4 I forget which smiley - dohsmiley - ermsmiley - musicalnote

Jollity Farm would make a great national anthem, wouldn't it? smiley - smiley

A lot better than the current dirge.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Switzerland's national anthem use he same tune as England's "God save the King/Queen?"

Two songs have frequently heard being played in my head are "Fill my little World", which I first heard on Doctor Who played by David Tennant with one of the episodes where the Master featured and "The magic bus", by The Who which I hear in my head as "Dubai, the magic run".

I have "Magic bus" in my CD collection. I'm listening to the soundtrack for "Chicago" now. "All that jazz," "When you're good to Mama," and "Mister cellophane" are among my all-time favorites, so they're sure to be running through my head for quite a while.smiley - smiley

My bus ride in the morning takes me past the theatres playing the Lion King, Mama Mia and Top Hat.

Fortunately I have control over my inner jukebox.

There is a part of a song that I can't get out my head now and I don't know what it is called as I have heard booming from peoples cars and it sounds like a Soul type song sung by an American female singer and all the words I can hear in my head is "born free to...." and the rest of the words I can't make out and it keeps on going on in an constant loop in my head.smiley - headhurts

"The country's in the very best of hands" from the musical "Li'l Abner" is a classic that is still very relevant smiley - evilgrin. It's tongue-in-cheek,of course. smiley - smiley

I'm going to have a lot of Billy Joel songs in my head, because I just listened to a CD of his greatest hits. smiley - smiley The CD after that will contain piano concertos by Carl Maria Von Weber [a cousin of Mozart's wife]. and then I will hear highlights from Wagner's "Tannhauser." The "Tannhauser" overture is something that I often hear in my head over and over again.

Deb

The golden oldie on Radio 2 this morning was Jeff Beck, Hi Ho Silver Lining, which hit me like a shot of caffeine & really perked up my drive to work.

I'm getting a little fed up with it going round in my head now though.
