Umm... does anyone have a larger sleeping bag? And pass me one of those mushrooms, if you don't mind, Ali.

This is a remarkably laid back group of people. Maybe its those mushrooms they keep eating.

*Starts pulling on dangling cords frantically. Yanks on one and the hot air in the balloon begins to vent out. Their basket crashes to the ground (thank the Brownie!) and not in the river. People and supplies go sprawling all over the place. Baron heroically catches Coely in her tank, and not a drop is splashed out.

The storm is picking up. The wind is whipping the trees and the clouds are dark and angry, beginning to swirl. There is a sudden shower of hail.*

Not good! Not good! Run for the cave!! Don't stop for anything...JUST RUN!!!

why is this always happening to me?
At least we don't have to carry the mushrooms, they can run for themselves.

Alright, here is the cave. I just want to tell you that there is a bear in here. But it seems friendly. My little Teddybear.

Good work, Mari-rae. I think you saved us, just in time. This cave is very big. We can have an adventure exploring it.

*The sound and fury of a freight train fills the cave. Debris shatters the air. Wind whips violently. In moments the storm recedes, and our intrepid travelers are left standing in the aftermath of the tornado's wake. The lovely balloon is all in ruins and up a broken tree.*

Not much is left, is there? How're we ever going to get to Vegas now? We're stranded on a deserted island in the middle of the MIssissippi River. Waaaaa!

Well, people know where we were going so, eventually, someone will rescue us. *alicat puts on the miner's helmet she always carries with her. She ventures, tentatively, forward into the cave. All around are crystal clear stalactites and stalagmites. The light casts rainbows around the cave. Alicat imagines discovering pirate treasure.*

*eyes other bear suspiciosly. growls. puts down ceoly's tank. puts on night vision goggles. everything goes green. follows Ali into damp cave depths*

Someome should go back outside to get the beer once it is safe to do so.

LOL. Good thinking, Bear. I'll just scoot back now and get it. There's still some champagne, too. The mushrooms have been tackled and de-legged. All is well. I even saved God A.'s bottle and a bottle of love for us.

I'm not touching G.A's bottle. Iwill take some of that liquid rainbow stuff though.

*keeps weary eye on other bear...chooses not to bare teeth just yet*

*Coelacanth spots a small underground stream just in time, and dives in. It seems to follow the course of the path exactly, so it is possible to join the others as they venture into the cave. The cave feels much safer than the storm.*

Don't leave me behind!

*Alicat attaches a small waterproof box of provisions to coelacath, who is able to pull this through the wateer with ease. Some of the mushrooms, and a small teddy jump on board for the ride.*

*Picks her way through the debris and is glad to find all their towels, although they are muddy and full of flotsom and jetsom. She rinses them in the river and is coming back to the cave mouth when she finds a bit of a shovel sticking out of the sand. Picking herself up, she uncovers the entire shovel and brings it along to the cave.*

We might need this!

~Walks in with a crate of beer in one hand, and God A's bottle in the other~
I suppose we're going to need this . I'm not sure if we should be drinking out of the bottle in a cave though...All the smoke and all . Did everybody got out allright?

*alicat returns to the group with the salvaged refreshments. She hands Bear a bottle of love, and thanks him for saving Coely from the crash. There is plenty of food and beverages. Driftwood litters the floor of the cave and will make a perfect fire. From the mouth of the cave, a brilliant electrical storm casts intermittant light. It is lovely in the safety of the cave.* I think we should drink a toast to Mari-rae, who's quick thinking saved us from a disaster.

~hands out beers to everyone, then walks to the mouth of the cave with God A's bottle in his hand, and a happy smile on his face .~

You know, I think Kheldar has a good idea. With God A.'s bottle we could send smoke signals to alert passing planes to our dilemma. Not to mention we could get sloshed very quickly.

I'll just take another pull off of this bottle of love.

*moves as far away as possible from GOD A's bottle*

*Also avoiding GOD A's bottle, because of fear of having no ears and simply filling up with smoke like some large blue balloon*
The fire is a god idea. It will frighten away any hostile bears too.
