This means that they are very unlikely to attack a tank with a rock. It also means they are less likely to attack a man with a rock, with a tank.

*blink* How about:

This means that they are very unlikely to attack a tank with a rock. It also means they are less likely to attack a man holding a rock with a tank.

Okay, since I'm being crass anyway, I might as well start from the top...

The difference between atheism and agnosticism is a leap of faith. An atheist reasons that, since there is no Christian god, no YHWH, no Allah, or any of the weird Eastern gods, there are no gods anywhere, and that's all there is to it.

It also has a hairy, skinny guy nailed to a cross, which one would think would be rather off-putting, but this is its most successful icon.

Now, would I make a good subeditor or not? smiley - smiley

You'd certainly do better job than whoever handled this article. I appreciate the input, but it is a bit too late to act on any of it, since the official version has already been put together. Incidentally, just about every area you had problems with, the editors had problems also. The main difference is that they screwed them up worse than I did.

Hmmm...on second thought, perhaps I should attend to these changes after all. I'll keep the link in the Foundation pointing to this one until the horrid errors are worked out of the official version (can you tell I'm slightly miffed by their handling of it? smiley - winkeye)

Looks like your suggestions will never become a reality. This page no longer pops up in my user pages list, which means I cannot edit it. I don't know what it was, but I didn't do it! smiley - winkeye

My mudpies page did that right before it hit the front page. I think they shuffle the original versions off to a closet somewhere, but it reappeared after the approved version was put up.

(Have you asked Ginger (I think it was Ginger-the-Fiesty that edited your page)if she'd consider changing it? Or even better, Mark?

I dropped Ginger a line as soon as I noticed the errors, but she hasn't been by lately. After a week went by with no response, I figured it was doomed to appear on the homepage any day, and so I posted my grumblings directly to it. I still left the specifics to Ginger though.

I guess the only reason it bothers me so much is that the purpose of editing is to clean up errors, and I find them being introduced. And I'm certain it isn't just me being a pissy whiner, because I see it all the time. I just get pissy when it happens to me. Then, deep down inside, I want to abandon the doldrums of being a professional computer geek and be a writer or an editor. Then I see an editor who has the job I want making a complete mess of it, and I'm incredibly jealous and spiteful. smiley - winkeye

At this late stage I think I'd get with either Mark Moxon or Anna, as it's obviously out of Ginger's hands anyway. smiley - smiley

Changes made, with the exception of the one for the atheist/agnostic paragraph. Harmless professional disagreement there. smiley - winkeye Anyway, I figured since everyone liked this version best, I might as well clean it up. Thanks again. smiley - smiley
