'cartharsis' - purification: evacuation of the bowels: purification of the emotions, as by the drama according to Aristotle: the purging of the effects of a pent up emotion and repressed thoughts, by bringing them to the surface of consciousness.
I discovered this word several months ago, and find myself using it on an almost daily basis...

Superfluous: more than is needed; unnecessary.
Probably everyone knows this word but after weeks of waiting I finally managed to use it on conversation 3 times this week and so I'm putting it in!
Also- preternatural: supernatural- just cause I've been watching too much sci-fi!
