Excellent word! I've incorporated it into my chess poem F103872?thread=267273.
I find the listed definition of 'mimsy' strange -- this is one word we have from the horse's mouth -- Lewis Carroll invented it for the poem 'Jabberwocky' and explained it in 'Through the looking-glass' as an amalgam (portmanteau was his word) of 'miserable' and 'flimsy'. Nothing there about prim or proper.

It is discountinued but check on www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/thepost and you will see that I have only recently resurrected it as Word of the Week in the post.
