Looks good to me, and obviously fills a gap. The very first para needs some attention:

'...when it was said to break the 100mph speed barrier for steam railways, just one year after it's introduction'. >

...when it was said to HAVE BROKEN the 100mph speed barrier for steam railways, just one year after it's introduction.

You could do with some links, either external or internal e.g. to the National Railway Musem, Southampton, etc etc

yey, more trains smiley - smiley

I'm leaving the same message as I left on your Scotsman entry

we only link to entries that are already in the edited guide, therefore you should remove the link to the mallard entry. When this and the Flying Scotsman entry get picked the editors creat duplicate entries and these duplicates are the ones that go into the edited guide. Therefore the current link will not link to the edited guide entry. Don't worry, whenthese entries are picked and being subbed / going through the final stages before they hit the front page, somebody will put in the links

Nice entry Galigan...
smiley - biro one minor typo: did you mean 'booted' or 'boosted' in the footnote?

Other than that it looked good, anything else to add to it?

smiley - disco

Yeah I did mean boosted. Corrected it now, thanks Rockhound. I don't think there's anything else to add. I realise it isn't as long as some but unless there's anything anyone else wants to add I think it's perfect.smiley - biggrin

You need to tell us what this ... no. 3440 ... means. It sort of pops up out of nowhere. Try reading it pretending you don't have knowledge that it is some sort of GWR nomenclature.

Post 13

It's the number given by the railway company, in this case the GWR. I've added a footnote to that effect.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
