A Conversation for DAVID BLAINE - "ABOVE THE BELOW"

Misspelled word?

Hi there:

While I didn't actually proofread the piece, I did notice what I believe to be a misspelling of 'adverse' as 'abverse' in the section titled: Long Term Consequences of Starvation.

I'm not sure what point there is in focusing so much on the British opinion of Blaine's antics, but it seems an overdone portion of the piece.

I feel sorry for anyone who pays 5 minutes attention (much less days) to persons creating these 'events', but I find it reprehensible that anyone should so want these poor sots to fail that they resort to means almost as extraordinary as the original act.

Better, I would think, would be to simply ignore them. Why would anyone waste the time and resources to 'fly a hamburger' around Mr. Blaine or throw bacon?

Rather than laud these responses as proudly British, it sounds like an example of the same inhumane insensitivity of New Yorkers who walk by a mugging victim, bleeding on the sidewalk. No wonder burning French girls at the stake for hearing voices is part of British history.

Be proud, be British; kick a puppy.

PS: the 'ALL CAPS' title is also unnecessary, and not normal style here.

Good Luck on this and future entries.
