Hmmm... shouldn't the bit that reads...

Antelia, Producer, Acting Editor
Smij, Assistant Content Producer

...say something more like:

Antelia, Producer, Acting Editor, Assistant Content Producer, Hampster Carer, Tea Lady and Accidental Deleter of Recommended Entries

Just that the page may need a bit of an update. smiley - tongueout

I spent a couple of hours carefully subbing A14137661 and then returned it to the Eds. The very next day, I look back and the Entry has gone back to being just like A8658525smiley - yikes

Antelia had simply copied from the wrong version and thereby deleted all my hard work - I had to sub it all over again, but it was all ok in the end. smiley - biggrin

Strangely enough, no. Didn't really think it was my job to back up h2g2 in case someone breaks it. smiley - erm

Given the unreliability of the software and hardware a year or two back, the more experienced among us started writing entries offline (if we weren't already doing it anyway using a text editor or MaW's excellent GuidePost) so that we had our own copy should there be a problem when we hit the 'Update entry' button. If I'd been subbing an entry I'd keep a copy on my HD for sure, or send it to one of my Gmail accounts and keep it on a Google HD.

Or both.

I'm lazy.

However, I do copy text to the clipboard just before pressing the Update button - the only way I lose stuff is if someone else deletes it.
