I like this one Opti smiley - ok

Only error I spotted was here - "expensive presentation edition of Enid Blyton’s plays" - I assume that should be Enid Blyton's stories.

This PR thread is about Rupert Bear Opti. You shouldn't be attempting to drum up interest to your other entries in it.

One query - should 'Bedelgert' (under 'Rupert Reaches Sixty') be 'Beddgelert'?

Otherwise a superb Entry.

Is it wise to leave in "86-year old bear"? It will need tobe updated annually.

um, just remove the age. smiley - erm He would then just simply be a well loved bear who was 'born' in the 1920s.

Very well done. smiley - ok

I actually have never heard of Rupert before this, so I can't really give any substantive comments - but I will say that I certainly know more now from your entry. Thanks.

However, I can offer comments on typos and such.

In footnote 1 - should 'leant' be 'lent'?

In footnote 16 there is a misplaced period at the beginning of the sentence.

This sentence that contains footnote 6: >>of their own, 6, Mary Tourtel<< could be changed so that the footnote doesn't appear between commas.

Since I hadn't heard of Rupert til now, you may correctly assume I was born under a rock and will not be surprised that I didn't know what 'Blighty' was either:
>>...and created a page for Blighty.<<
Maybe you could add a link as you have for Punch (which I have heard of).

A very good piece of work smiley - applause

Blighty is such an old-fashioned word I was surprised to read it. Even my parents in their eighties don't call Britain "Blighty" anymore, so I suggest you explain it Opti.

On returning home from the war he returned to the LCC Central School of Art and visited James Mackenzie editor of Blighty who published some of his work and found an agent Graham Hopkins of Byron Agency.

That sentence has no punctuation - punctuation allows the reader to take a breath, Opti. Such long sentences are very difficult to read.

But the Blighty referred to here is a 30's - 50's magazine.

I know, but pailaway said he didn't know what Blighty was. I was suggesting Opti use a footnote to explain that Blighty was an old-fashioned nickname for Britain.

I was confused - I thought he was being asked for a link to the magazine.

Opti.

I though Pailaway was asking for links to Blighty and Punch.
