Entry: Google Games - A1322803
Author: Geggs Sakkosekken (Scout) The universe continues unabated - U201647
I pulled the section on googlewhack from the Flea Market, but added the rest myself.
Any suggestions gratefully recieved. Especially if anyone knows of any other Google games that I've left out.

There's one thing that's not strictly a game, but I like. It has a built in calculator.
Guess what happens when you type in 'Answer to life the universe and everything'?

Oh, I just remembered a qualification I wanted to make the section on googlewhacking.
Its this: Dave Gorman's book on Googlewhacking isn't written yet. He is working on it, and it will be published next year. But I thought that order to make the entry 'timeless' I should state it as a fact, rather than a prospect.
Hope that is okay.

I got the impression that it was already written, from his website, maybe I got the wrong end of the stick though as I wasn't really paying that much attention...

No, he's writing it at the moment, AFAIK. But it looks like the cover is already sorted, in a cart-before-horse kind of way.

Ah, yes, I just checked - out in early 2004 i think it says... Not that it makes any difference either way!

Actually, given the backlog of entries, the thing might well be published before this gets onto the front page!<winkeye.

Very good entry! You can do googlewhack on Google images too, half the time it comes up with something seemingly completley uncconceted to either of the words. I know you've said that in the entry, I just thought it might be worth mentioning you can use the Images section too.

Thank you for that. I've added a note on googlewhacking images into the entry.
It stands to reason, I suppose. If you can search on images, then you can googlewhack them. But I still needed someone to point it out to me.
Thanks again!

No, its definately a HREF tag.
I'm confused now. Are you quite sane this evening?

I liked this guide to google, and I think it's probably EG stuff. In fact, I'm seriously worried about the state of things when someone can write an interesting article on a search engine without mentioning the searching!
Your first link (to google) has backslashes (\) instead of forward slashes (/) in the HTTP protocol, so doesn't work.

Ah, that's much more likely to be the reason. I just saw a h2g2 popup window and assumed as I did.
I'll be quiet now.
