A Conversation for St Andrews day 2003
Attendees!
Pterry D'Actil Posted Nov 27, 2003
Helo, I hope this is the right place. I'm free this weekend and fancy atending a meet. Can I come along too?
How will I recognise anyone?
Thanks,
Pterry.

We'll be the group of mad people standing about at George Square.
I'll be recognisable as the fat bloke with a white cap and white trainers.

Sir (if indeed you are of that persuasion, if you are of the fairer sex, please accept my apology)
Sir, one has attended George Square before, and one would have to say that your description would cover a vast majority of peoples in that vicinity. By your own description, would you perchance hail from the Colonies across the Atlantic, in short, are you American sir?
Sincerely,
Pterry D'Actil

Pardon my intrusion, Mr D'Actil, but you seem awfully familiar... you didn't have a role in a children's television programme in the 1980s by any chance?

Right, this is my last ditch appeal to be able to attend the meet on Saturday....
Can anyone put me up? Please? I'm housetrained and everything!

I could, but the last train that goes anywhere near Grangemouth is just after 11, and it's an Edinburgh train anyway...

Bum bum bum!
I'd get the last train home, but I'm not gonna make it through til round about 10 anyway...

The Campanile Glasgow has twin rooms available for Saturday night at £53.85 including full Scottish breakfast. Maybe you could share?
Sincerely

Do we have a time and all of that arranged? I suggested midday earlier but I don't know if people everyone else is happy with that.
The knee seems to be OK, so I might make it for laser quest.

Sir, I believe meeting times and activities are listed on the meet page. One has yet to have one's name added to the attendees list however. Gosh, darn it, my monocle fell out again!

Argh! Need card, don't have one that's not up its limit!

Pterry, the bloke" part of my description of myself could possibly be a fair indication that I am in deed a bloke, and not a blokette.
Also, I am not from the colonies, however, the cap that I will most likely be wearing will be a Dallas Cowboys one (American Football).
There might also be a possibility of me having a ragged old blue towel hanging from my belt or over my shoulder.
Fords, I'd have out you up for the night tomorrow, but I'm leaving at around 11 o'clock as well to get the last traing home, so that wouldn't do you much good either.. And considering it's an hour's train ride in the wrong direction for you as well, puts it in the "naaaah, don't think so" category...

I'm up for going to the pub, that's assuming it's still Insomnia around 6 O'clock and hasn't changed since I logged on.

fords, my offer to put you up still stands in the unlikely event of you changing your mind.
I was snotty last time I mentioned this. I've had a terrible week
Everyone else - are we still meeting up at George Square at midday? Given the awful weather we've been having we might be best to substitute it for the Counting House pub.
I think 6pm is a good time to try and be in Insomnia for.
