I'll repeat my offer. After all that you've done I'm still willing to offer you a bed for the night.
If not, have a nice life. And I'll try and find a middleman to get your copy of "The Wicker Man" back to you.

Guess I'd better put me name down then, as long as we're still on Me Jools & Me Sussy...
Bowling sounds good to me, though wouldn't mind what we ended up doing.

There's one here for £24 that looks bookable and it's not far from Insomnia if that's where we're going

Given my history of falling asleep on buses after the football it's probably best to put me down as a possible

10-pin Bowling works for me as well. I don't think we've ever actually gome through with the bowling at a scot-meet before.
I'm up for it. Just gives me something new to try and beat you all in.

Maybe I should have kept that quiet until we had more attendees. Do you think it would help if I changed the tag on my name to "Come to the Glasgow meet on Saturday you miserable stards"?

Right, I've managed to get a couple of lanes booked at AMF Bowling:
http://www.amfbowling.co.uk/centres/glasgow.htm
These are booked for 15.30 on Saturday afternoon for 2 games.
Price is as follows:
1st game = £4.40 (£3.40 + £1.00 shoe hire)
2nd game = £3.40
Total for 2 games = £7.80 per person.
Booking here is based on 'per person' rather than a lane, so at the mo I have managed to persuade them that I will have enough people to cover the two lanes. So I need definites.
As far as I can tell, the definites at the mo are:
Me, 'Sus, Event Horizon, EV, Ku', Zagreb.
I thought that we could get the train from Glasgow Central to the
Exhibition Centre, and walk to the bowling from there.
It's not far , however, those who wish to walk there, feel free!
Train times are detailed here: http://www.scotrail.co.uk/route22.pdf
on page 54. This means that we can get a train at 14.45, 14.55 or 15.15 and still get into bowling on time for 15.30.
As you can see from here:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=257750&y=665750&z=1&sv=257750,665750&st=4&ar=N&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf
It's not too far to walk up to Cafe Insomnia, if this is indeed where we are adjourning to afterwards.
If any youngsters decide they do want to join us, can I suggest this also:
That we all meet in George Square at 2pm and then head over to Central Station for the 2.55pm train for 3.30pm bowling. Bear in mind there is also pool tables, and no doubt arcade games there too.
Lets also say we will be there till 6pm, in case anyone else wants to join up with us there.
Anyone know if Munchkin and Tocc are coming along?
Jamie, any chance you can update the page to reflect this new info?

Why do you think it's degenerated into a shambles? LOL
without me to organise it
At least with me organising, it resembles something, not sure what, but something. Anything else you can't handle is therefore your own problem!

Shambles???!!! I'll have you know we dream of being a shambles
We could really do with a smiley...
I don't know if Munchkin and Toc are coming, but as I'm meeting them in the morning I think I'll be able to drag them along for a bit.

"There's one here for 24 that looks bookable and it's not far from Insomnia if that's where we're going http://www.uk-hotel-accommodation.co.uk/Scotland/hotels/mclaysgh.cfm" Does that mean we're going to Insomnia then? :-D A certain someone was trying to push me away from it (not literally) last night ;-)

That's strange, I could swear 14th March 2005 was available when I checked
Zagreb. I don't know where we're going (Insomnia was the last suggestion I heard), but it's nice to have a target to see how much I can miss it by. Just had a practice run tonight. Successfully fell asleep on the bus within 10 minutes, but some do-gooder foiled my attempt to end up further away from home than when I got on by wakening me at Buchanan St Bus Station.
