Does anyone accept the Editors' T-shirt Challenge to write an Entry on the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche?

Now that's really a challenge. He was a fascinating man, I may think about this once I have recovered from the last challenge. smiley - puff

It was just pointed out to me that I should know something about Nietzsche's philosophy - which I don't, so it's not a 'may' anymore, somebody else will have to tackle this. smiley - smiley

Funny. He was on my list of people to bone up about. But the list is getting pretty long. smiley - winkeye

If nobody takes this by next month, I might.

I just had a quick look, and I'd also be interested if nobody else is. I'll think about it a bit more before coming and accepting the challenge, though.

Just keeping an eye on this I'm not doing the whole man just using his views on beverages which distort the brain for an ongoing entry elsewhere.

Apart from the dreariness of many of his ideas, I liked much of his imagery when I was a student. He is difficult to ignore when one studies literature.

I wish I could find that quote of his about gremlins. It was just before he officially 'succumbed to madness' I believe, and it was really weird smiley - erm.

Hello eE,

So far some people have said 'if nobody else does it I will' (which I think shows any ultimate Entry will get a lot of interest). But so far nobody has uttered the magical words 'I accept...' So...you'd be very welcome to take up the challenge if you so fancy! smiley - smiley

Unfortunately that post was made in a moment of idle curiosity. I don't like a lot of Nineteenth/Twentieth century philosophy, having had to read is while studying literature. The Eighteenth Century, on the other hand, was a good time for philosophers.

Sublime.

It will be interesting to see what emerges here.

Okay then...I accept this challenge. Is there a time limit on it? I'll do me best, gov.
