I've come up with a method of thieving from real people on h2g2.
What we do is go to their space, set up a theiving thread, tell them that we are stealing from them, show them your guild licence, and finally apologise for interrupting their evening.
If there already is a theiving thread, then find someone else to thieve from.

And if you steal from anyone on the list of the exempt.... Well the traditional punishment is the same as continuity... Removal of your licence. And saying sorry and then giving them their property back.

BUT if there's no way, using their space, to find out that they are exempt from thieving, then THEY'RE at fault, not you, right?
And I forgot, what groups of exempt from thieving?<?><?>

What you do is go to the pages of the exempt groups and make sure that your target is not on their members list.

maybe but if you can compile a list in GuideML with links to each person in those groupsthen i'll put that up. I don't know why i should have to do all the work around here.
