Oooh, MAN I wish I'd been there! Damn this big wet Atlantic Ocean thing!
But anyway...how come the most clearly focused pictures are the ones in the pub, presumably taken after the drinking had started (when focus usually starts to blur -- it does for me at any rate)?
Hmmm?

By then we'd got our breath back and stopped shaking from sheer physical exhaustion. Well I did anyway.

And the pub was air-conditioned, which Clapham Common most definitely ain't.

Seems as you all had fun .... Summer in London ...and seems it didn't rain ... the BIG question is not who won , but what time did the drinking finish?
downunder just a little jealous as is mid winter here

Ginger The Feisty Posted Jul 21, 1999
But your midwinter is about as warm as our summer so put that bottom lip away before a double decker bus parks on it!.

Here's hoping the sun is out for our East Midlands Picnic to take place probably the first weekend in September probably in Victoria Park, Leicester.

See you all there for what should be a repeat of London (but without the rounders).
By the way, glad you all had a good time.

Without the rounders it would have just been sitting around in a pub!

SPINY (aka Ship's Cook) Posted Jul 22, 1999
Yeah, skip the rounders next time. Don't let anyone tell you you need to work up a thirst before you can go to the pub.

You're a semi-conscious biped after my own heart Spiny. Maybe we should do a north of the border exercise-free session (not that I'm anywhere near the border) but any excuse for a crawl round Edinburgh.

Now you're getting your spelling wrong there again Peta...Oh, sorry you did mean "bonding". Wrong mushrooms again.

Peta Posted Jul 23, 1999
No that 's different excercise. And I didn't do any of that on the common... You I take it did then, with one of us, or later that night?

Yeah, Merkin, let's know if you're cooming oop north, lad.
