Predictive Text Troubles
Moonhogg - Captain Coffee Break Started conversation Jul 22, 2009
I use predictive text ("T9") on my mobile phone, and have to admit, I don't always look closely at what I send.
On several occasions I have told my wife that I will be coming good soon (coming *home*). I also told her that I would sick up the kids on the way (*pick* up!).
Today she mentioned we would be having fish and chips for tea. I texted back, asking her to make sure we have some "mushy rear" to go with it (peas! Mushy PEAS!)
Anyone else found any silly predictions?

yeah, my old phone came up with nun before mum and anal comes before cock. Well, it did on my old phone. My new one updates the words you use to higher up the list so you dont get those problems so often. Although ouch persists in coming up before much.

I was trying to talk about coal, obviously...
and the different types of pheasant we were having for tea, two hens and a cock... (big meal)
Oh, and I use Nokias so they have different predictive texting. A far superior system if you ask me!

Try typing "woohoo" with predictive text...you get "zonino". Also, some (not Nokia) phones come up with "book" if you type "cool".
Apparently these words were yoofspeak a couple of years ago, because of this. Are they still?

I tend to be more web geek than teenager so I will probably see 'pwned' more than I'll see book instead of cool.

I constantly ask people to come for a riot. That's why I get smacked in the pub.

Interestingly, if you type Smirnoff into mine, you get Poisoned!

You mean "synee"? at least, that's what my phone thinks you mean...

I texted "Pe Shop Boys - It's a Sin" to a musician friend. He received "Pet Shop Boys - It's a Rim."
