The fact that when you watch it you insist on sleeping with them probably has something to do with it, Roymondo...

STRANGELY STRANGE ( A brain on a spring ) Posted Dec 4, 2007
I love all versions of A Christmas Carol but my favourite is the one with man who was in Star Trek, Patrick Stewart?
I also like Jack Frost, sentimental and sad certainly but very moving and lots of snow which is essential!

Was Jack Frost the one with the snowman that comes to life?
If it is, that is the first film that younger daughter cried over!

Yes it is the film, Jack Frost with Michael Keaton, the snowman is the fairly young father who died and came back to keep an eye out for his young son, I too admit to shedding a tear or two over that film! I have re seen it loads of times and the waterworks always start.

Yep, that's it. Lovely film. Don't tell anyone, but even I, Captain Coffee Break, had a lump in my throat at the end...

Oh, Christmas films you cry at, well there are several of those, two immediately spring to mind Flight of The Reindeer with Beau Bridges and Richard Thomas and the animated Annabelle's Wish (it still makes my now 13 year old son cry)

It's a Wonderful Life must do a hell of a lot to stop suicide at Christmas time, don't you think?

daffodilgold Posted Dec 10, 2007
I remember a watching a film with an unusual angel (dressed in raincoat and trilby) who turns back time to stop a desperate Mum from committing a crime and thereby saving Christmas for her little daughter, but I'm darned if I can remember what it's called! Can anybody help?

Got everything sorted for Christmas, Daffodil? Or isn't it your cup of tea?

I absolutely love Christmas! The decorations are up, most of the gifts bought, but still puzzling over what to get my eldest daughter. Have already been to one Christmas party with people I used to work with!
Here's wishing you a very Happy Christmas

There is really only one.
The Great escape, htey always seem to manage to time it being on at exactly the right moment, when its a complete hung over haze and we're getting ready to head off to the pub again, boxing day perhaps I forget and this year, this year I really think he'll make it this year, he was so close last year
