OK I have written about the feathered dinosaurs and also mentioned Stegosaurus in the list of dinosaur names.

Well, I read about halfway through before it just got too late (I'm actually asleep right now)

Here are some highly optional suggestions so far:

This seems like a good link for 'Mesozoic'
http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/mesozoic/mesozoic.html

And here's one for 'modern birds' that may be more apt.
http://www.tolweb.org/Neornithes

I had absolutely no idea that there were state fossils - I would have guessed these were elderly politicians, and I would have been wrong.
http://www.statefossils.com/

Here is a bizarre link that reports lack of sleep being the cause of extinction.

Perhaps it was - I will try to avoid the same fate. smiley - zzz

I'm a little more awake now - back to reading (...busy reading ...enjoying reading ...done reading)

smiley - wow excellent.

Really well put together. smiley - ok I learned a great deal.

Good section, including link, on fossil poo (say, is 'fossil poo' correct? Or would it be 'fossilized poo' - just wondering).

Did you know, in about 1930 Sinclair Oil Company began advertising 'Dino' gas, which technically means 'terrible' gas, right? But apparently they intended that people would associate their brontosaurus (I mean apatosaurus) mascot with 'fossil' fuel: http://www.sinclairoil.com/history/historys_p1.htm

Maybe in the 'Dinosaurs in Popular Culture' section you could add (if you like):
In 1930, the Sinclair Oil Company introduced an apatosaurus named 'Dino' as their trademark and subsequently the words 'Dino Gaswhich, technically, would mean 'Terrible Gas', but fortunately for Sinclair the public never made this association' began appearing on signs over Sinclair pumps throughout the US.

Good - btw, I wouldn't normally include a cut and paste ready reference for information that is only optional anyway as that would would seem either overbearing or meddlesome - it's just that I know you're busier than about ten normally busy people put together (I don't know if you have this saying in UK - here we would say 'busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest') so its only meant to be helpful. smiley - biggrin

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
