I hope they are all happy tears this time at least, whoever's they were. Try not to get any in the keyboard. Salt water is rather a good conductor and you wouldn't want to end up with any posts looking like coded messages. That sort of thing seems to cause trouble as well as just being bad for the keyboard. Orange juice and cola are apparently worse though. Trying to dry one with an industrial hot-air blower for shrink-wrapping cables is a complete no-no.

>>For the record, this is MY computer, and Symphony are here in my house at the moment. Since they seem to be back, I saw no reason not to let them log in to their account from here.<<
Is this good news? They seem to be back?

Welcome back and nice to meet y'all, Symphony!

Okay.
First of all, this porch has totally expandable, fully automatic, crowd compensators. There's room for the whole universe without ever seeming huge or crowded.
Second, if we add Symphony, would we still be a band or an orchestra?
Third, they are welcome.
Fourth, the back logpile has to last all winter so don't waste it.
Fifth, transparency is a good thing and its lack is the main reason why we were all here in the first place. Notice old questions starting with 'why' and statements starting with 'if'.
Sixth, this is a 'permanent' archive -- those ice chips will never melt unless we start putting them in drinks.
Seventh, hello, Symphony! I'm glad you're still watching. Play whatever instrument you want, We have a fine PA system and can easily match any instrument to any other.
Eighth, is this beginning to look like a guided tour through Dante's fantasy?

Nice place you got here! Thanks for holding a place for us!
We're off away for a while, so we'll catch up with everyone later. Don't have too much fun without us, eh?

Yep, this seems like it's gonna be one heck of a hootenanny 'round here. Pull up a chair, or a sofa or a back log, or hey, y'all ken even lean back agin ol' Blue if'n y'all don't mind the smell ner the fleas. I think the band'll prolly start off with a reel so if'n anyone want's to pick up an instrument, they ken jump in at any time.
