A quick, explanation as to why I feel that Lochranza is such a great place to visit.

Can you split it up into paragraphs using s or s to make it easier to read? Or if you aren't used to guideml can you just put a line between each paragraph please?

I agree. Paragraphing is DEFINITELY needed. I'll come back and read it when it's been split though. Currently I'm too lazy to actually read it as a block, sorry

Hi,
I read it!
You will have to re-work the first person references. They are generally not allowed in editted guide entries. That's easily done.
I saw a few typos.
the islands distillery
public golf cause,
pop into wither the field centre or the youth hostel
there not wild (they're not wild)
And something's missing/mixed up here...
(the other geologist was a bloke called Matt Kennet, who I have now gone to the island for my dissertation work a total of three times)!

I agree with what basically everyone on this thread says, particularly Awu. I think with a little re-working, this should be an excellent addition to the Edited Guide.
I like good geographically based entries a lot, and would like to see more of them - when I first came to h2g2, I thought that's what the site would be all about, and was a bit surprised to find it a bit lacking in that department.
However, I also know that reg/petro tends to visit h2g2 quite spasmodically, so we may be in for a little wait for him to reply. When you do come back, reg/petro, it might be worth your while having a quick look at the Writing-Guidelines, particularly point 12 with regard to the first-person thing.
Also, I'd suggest changing the title to something like 'Lochranza, Isle of Arran, Scotland' - that fits in more with the kind of geographical classification used on h2g2, and will give passing researchers a little more of an idea what the entry's about.
All the best,
Number Six
