WEEK SEVENTEEN
GreyDesk Posted Dec 6, 2003
Yes I am. Next week, week 18, will be the last week of this competition. The next season kicks off with the FA Cup 3rd round in January.

It's longer than that. I haven't had a break since taking over the managerial reigns from Egon back last February!

... and I need to crack on and code the page for next season now, as it will be launched pretty soon and what's currently there is little more than a place holder

having a quick look at the results this week, i do believe i only got the Newcastle v Liverpool result. no correct score. no correct scorer
all the rest were wrong results and wrong scorers

Master B's gone offline, but I imagine he was thinking about the 90th minute equaliser at Scunthorpe in the Cup.

I did rather well with my non-league prediction, though - Wakefield & Emley 0-1 Bradford Park Avenue (Hayward) - everything except the correct score!

Whenever we get score draws it always mucks up the points totals. So with two, plus a no score draw, this weekend this was no exception. Overall it was fairly low scoring with lets say, just a couple of exceptions ()
---------------
The Scores:
Fulham 2-1 Bolton (K.DAVIES, S.Davies, Sava)
Leeds 1-1 Chelsea (PENNANT, Duff)
Newcastle 1-1 Liverpool (MURPHY, Shearer)
Middlesborough 0-0 Portsmouth (--)
Walsall 1-0 Bradford (BIRCH)
---------------
The Points:
Otto Fisch - 8 points (Fulham result; Newcastle result, score & scorer; Boro' result)
Lord Smooth - 7 points (Fulham result; Newcastle result & scorer; Walsall result)
GreyDesk - 7 points (Newcastle result; Boro' full house )
The Snockerty Friddle - 6 points (Fulham result; Boro' result; Walsall result)
spook - 5 points (Leeds result; Newcastle result & scorer)
Master B - 4 points (Fulham result; Walsall result)
Uncle Heavy - 4 points (Fulham result & scorer; Newcastle scorer)
owlatron - 4 points (Fulham result; Boro' result)
Ormondroyd - 3 points (Fulham result; Newcastle scorer)
loosehead - 3 points (Fulham result; Newcastle scorer)
robin - 2 points (Walsall result)
creachy - 2 points (Newcastle result)

Well I for one, am really pleased to see Otto back and winning some points
He's been a tough competitor here right from the very beginning. He won the first two competitions way back when, and then was placed in competitions three through six. Indeed the record shows that until Ormy won last season, Otto was the joint best player in h2g2 Fantasy Football League history

Yes, well done, Otto!
I don't think anyone's won yet, creachy. There's one more week to go, is there not?

I'm never going to make up a nine-point gap on current form... you'll just have to admit it, you've won and we are not worthy
Key: Complain about this post
